Villa at Traverse Point is seeking a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join their team! The Personal Care Assistant helps patients/residents with comprehensive and personalized health care needs under the supervision of a nurse in Ohio Assisted Living Facilities. Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Duties and Responsibilities: * Provides physical support for patients'/residents' daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring to/from bed, toileting, walking, standing, or exercising. * Ensures proper resident/patient diet based on their dietary restrictions. * Notes and communicates patient/resident behavior and changes in mood. * Cleans rooms and bed linens. * Answers to patient calls and needs. * Transfers residents to and from activities. * All other duties as assigned. Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Qualifications and Skills: * Good collaboration and teamwork skills with the nursing staff. * Familiarity with symptoms and signs of improvement for a number of medical conditions. * Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. * Demonstrates basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications. Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Education and Experience: * High School Diploma or GED, preferred. * One year or more of experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment preferred. * CPR certified or the ability to become certified within 3 months, preferred. Physical Requirements: * Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, extended sitting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling, ability to distinguish smells and temperatures, all with or without the aid of mechanical devices is required. * Limited potential for exposure to environmental hazards.
